Shielded by "passion," we've spent years justifying the irrational—making it the norm. Behaviors constantly excused with the same phrase: it's part of football folklore. But this isn’t folklore. It isn’t passion. Or anything close to it. And it’s time someone said it—so we can start changing it, or at least start talking about it.
